Actually got a lot of cleaning and organizing done this weekend.

Started putting my quick change together to see what parts are left to purchased...

Got my oven wired in the garage so I could try out my new powder coating setup....

cleaned up my toolboxes a bit, I can't/won't afford one of the new Matco Rat Fink boxes so I want to commission Von Tingler to monsterize these...

And ran into an friend from last year, he's put on a bit of weight but still looks good...

and I do not have a single mouse in or around the shop, I wonder why...

Nah, he's OK, if he was a Copperhead or a Rattler sure, but he's just hanging out on the back part of my property taking care of the rodent population...

Put about 10 miles on the sedan today. Found out a few things,#1; the F-1 box has too much slop in it and the car wanders a bit. I've tried adjusting it but fear it's just too wore out. #2; The camshaft is not very street friendly. The engine was one of my circle track engines, the cam has 510/530 lift and a ton of duration. It just doesn't create enough vacuum for 6 2-barrels. Any cam recommendations?, something with a nice lope. #3: gears! 308's just don't cut it, I'll have to put in the 350's. I've got some work to do......Mike

  14. Well we put the owrd out and had about 50 guys stop by today. The weather was supposed to be terrible so that cut the attendence in half but it didn't turn out too bad.

I sold a couple parts to a 20 yr. old rodder-to-be for his first car and took him for a ride in my recently finshed/licensed T. By the smile on his face I think he liked it! My kinda kid......he thinks rice burner/tuners are stupid, annoying and a menace!

Snakes are cool..., unless it's a poisonus and has just bit you...!!!!!

Speaking of Snakes..., Just got back from the Milwaukee Mile for the Midwest Conference GT-1 races and we were running the #11 "HOOTERS" Ford (Formerly Brett Bodines Roadrace car) and got "BIT" in the last lap by a Mustang Cobra without brakes...!

Nothing worse than getting your HOOTERs Bit by a Snake...!

I believe him to black racer or black rat snake. Probably leaning more towards the racer. He likes to sun himself on my carport in the summer...

Wish I had your snake in the corncrib, the mice, rats, and now squirrels are having a field day. Went out to the old barn today and there were about 5 or 6 Squirrels tearing out for the woods.
I finally tore the old 460 back down. Having the machinist come by tomorrow to see if he can figure out why it's breaking pins on the dist. shaft and tearing up the cam gear. Think we're going to have to machine a bronze washer to go between the bottom of the dist. gear and the block to get the heighth correct now that it's worn the block.

 Nice snake...I'm glad we don't have to worry about them or what type they are!!!

Shifted house/garage this weekend. The garage, as usual, was the worst part and took the longest. What made it worse was, I don't have as much garage space now but have a bit more land area to correct that problem, in time. More privacy too.
7 cars, 2 and a bit motorcycles, and way too much parts and "stuff". Building of numerous shelves is required for a starter. Might be I'll have to get ruthless and sell/trade/give/throw away things that I am hoarding. Again! I said the same thing 2 years ago when I last shifted and I have moved quite a few things on, but it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference.
I'd post a few pics but don't know how to shrink 'em to fit.

I completely gutted the inside of my mercury. Started s****ing the old undercoating off and getting ready to cut the top. I have to fix a small amount of rot in the floors first. It was a good day. I bought a 65 mustang bench seat for it. Seems like it will work out fine. TP

I actually got something done for a change! I split my wishbones, welded in the bungs, mounted the spring perches to the bones for the spring behind my '40 axle set up and actually mocked up the suspension with the caster dialed in @ 7 degrees. Hell yeah, I'm giving myself a pat on the back!

I'm too lazy to keep my camera's batteries charged so no pix as of yet.

    I'm friggin stoked.

Didn't get to work on the ModelA... but did get to put the 5.9 ***mins turbo diesel in my 94 chevy work truck (I did have a cadillac 500 in there but it was too thirsty!),bolted the ***mins up to the ****** and let it sit in the hole, I'll start fabbing the motor mounts tomorrow night. Also had a tidy up around the yard so it doesn't look too much like a 'RNG' (red necks garden)

  26. Finished installing the "fits like ****" Air Ride. I swore that I would never do bags but I need them to get out of my alley because of the speed bumps. Heres the before and after shots...

Well since I'm unemployed it seems like it's always thye weekend.

Friday I finished welding in the p***. side floor & inner rocker in on my 54 ford & I got the call that my grandpa died. Saturday I was bummed out & just went to get fitted for a suit. Today I cut the p*** side rocker off & got the new one almost fitted to where I want it. The sky opened up so I put everything away & went grocery shopping.

New fuel sending unit in tank, and modified fuel lines to remove stupid excess left when former gas tank (not correct for the truck) was installed. Got to use my pipe bender and flaring tool..which was cool. Put the new wiring in for the fuel sending unit. Reconnected the carb and fired it up....it runs! Badly! (notice the motor probably has two different style heads on the two banks of cylinders, humm....) Put the bench seat back in the cab, and drove the stupit thing all over town.

Drove it to the Continental Club, Houston, Saturday night. Notice one head light burned out so I put a new one in Sunday.

  29. Finally got the AC in my Dodge pickup up and going again. Been dead since November, didn't need it then. But South Texas heat & humidity is making life miserable. It was just an electrical glitch, now she blows 28* out the vents.

Also, about 2 hours ago, installed some tunes in my '54. Only temporary, since the speakers & stereo are going in dad's '61 Ranchero when it gets outta the paint shop & ****oned up. I was sick of listening to windnoise and a ****py exhaust leak, so into the glovebox went a Pioneer CD player that is solid black and folds up when you turn it off. Along with some Pioneer 6x9"+3"-mid speakers that are in plastic housings and sit on the floor up to the front of the back seat. Sounds pretty bad ***. It's fun to have noise...but After a short cruise I found that I kept turning the stereo down to hear the engine, HAHA.

Billy, sorry to hear about your grandpa. I went to my cousin Bobby's funeral Saturday. It's always a pleasure to see the toehr family members just a bummer it's not under better cir***stances.

Friday nite, drove around with my sister looking for a few copies of SPEED & CHROME. :D Finally found some on Saturday afternoon at a Borders.

Sunday, I sanded, sanded, and sanded some more on my convert top bows. Roadster reworked (cut off the really rusted old and welded in new) both ends of the head bow where the other bows attach to. The top ***embly is going to be so nice that I think I'm going to forgo the vinyl for a season and just drive around with the top ***embly up so all the hard work shows:D

Sunday nite BenD came over with Beatnik. They said it was to check out Big Olds but I secretly know they really came over to watch the season finale of Survivor with me and Roadstar.;)
