i have some questions about a Briggs and Stratton 20 horse V-twin engine on my lawn tractor. it is leaking fuel into the cylinders when not running. it's doing it VERY quickly and filling one of the cylinders with gas. i drained the cylinder (caught it on fire), drained the oil (which was FULL of gas), went to the store for more oil. i got back and filled the crank case with oil and when i went to start it, it locked up. the cylinder was full of gas AGAIN! i took the carb off and drained the gas out of the cylinder again. i could'nt find anything obviously wrong. could it be the fuel pump?? do i have other issues??? it just seems that the gas keeps pumping into the engine even when it is not running.

i don't want to tie up the board with off topic threads so if anyone REALY knows about this stuff could you please email me and give me some advice on what to look for and maybe how to fix it?

    thanks

Good possibility it's the pump, if not, you may have a hole in your float. That's the main things I've seen on those things. Good luck.
