That's one of the surprises I got during the visit to the USA last year.

USA guy - "Nah, there's nothing around, all the old cars have gone"

Kiwi guy "Shee-it, lookat all the old cars, man I wish we had projects like that back in New Zealand"

 

I decided i needed a bead roller so i had this plate cut to size

 

and some shafts turned up,i machine up my own formers on my $200 lath

 

the cogs i used are timing belt cogs from a gtr skyline

 

and all together, just need a motor

 

I didnt want big gaps under the doors so i made these peices for fillers,took a bit of nutting out as they are curved both ways

 

I trimmed the edge off and hammered the edge under

 

You said you did some panel beating. WOW thats a bit more then panel beating. I was at a loss when I saw the first pic of the roof. Incredable work. Iceman

 

Just got a new coupe,its taken me 60 years to locate this one

 

Now how to cut ,in true hotrod style iturned it into a convertable

Now how to make a door,i started by making a wooden frame and screwing it to the hinges to make sure it worked.It didnt the door lower edge hit on the front mudguard
