That's Gene's roadster on the lift, is he trying to get all the salt off??

So the sedan door isn’t a direct fit, but with your expert skills it wasn't a problem. Looks good.

    Going to Watertown?

between last night and tonight I cleaned the rust off of the upper quarters and the back of the roof. I also welded the patches into the inner door. I straightened the inner door as well. I just have to make the bottom of the inner door and i can put it in. I did some measuring and by the time i finish this door there will be about 17.5 feet of welding on it

Quick question, are you filling the top, or using the vinyl insert?

I plan on filling the top. I would love a vinyl top. The channel around the opening it rusted out. I figure if I have to weld around most of it anyways I might as well fill it. It will be one less leak to worry about and it gives a little more of that custom look as well

Tonight I replaced a piece at the top of the door that was badly bent. I made the bottom of the inner door and got it welded on. I have the inner screwed in right now with the bottom edge of the skin hemmed over. Just have to plug weld it in tomorrow night.

I got the inner door welded in tonight. I just have to gap the door once I fix the latch. I bought a better windshield frame this week. I fit the opening much better and it should be chromeable

Looking great...doing a wonderful job there.I would dress up the windshield frame in 0,5 mm 316 steel, instead of chroming it.Its nearly free and last forever.Easy to do also.

Holy Shit Kellan, I think fordb132 is the guy that made a coupe out of a beat-up sedan. ( calls himself a black smith, best dam black smith I ever saw ) maybe he can give you some pointers. All through looks like you’re doing fine.

Here is what I have been up too. I brought a bunch of my parts down to rapid city on Labor Day. I took all the trim off of the hood and I took the hood apart. I brought an extra firewall to help repair mine. I have garnish moldings and door tops off of a 4-door to help with the chop. I took my inner fenders out of the old fenders over the weekend. I took the rear window regulator apart. I took the new windsheild frame apart.

I also have a roof section off of the 4-door. I started by removing all the tack strips, header panel and weather stripping. I took all of the lead out of it. I then drilled the spot welds and took all of the inner structure out of it.

When I was home I lucked out and got 3 16 inch wheels Ive been looking for. I got the tires off of them at work and it turned out I had 3 different widths. I have a 4", a 4.5", and a 5". Then I got another 4.5" from Jamie. Still looking for another 4" or 5"

Today I took the door latch apart. I fixed the broken striker. I fixed the slightly bent pull rod for the inner door handle. I then gapped the front and back of the door

I bought a heater at a swap meet over the weekend. I took it apart and blasted everything. Does anyone know what exactly it is out of? Im thinking late 40's to early 50's Ford PU. I got all of my other parts back from the blaster today as well
