Did some horse tradin and came up on top with this coupe. Not sure if its the deluxe or the styleline? (I think its a styleline). Needs the usual floors, wiring and interior. To chop or not to chop? I'd really like to run the green tinted gl*** of old and do not know how that will play out if it gets chopped. Plans include an LS and auto from an SUV donor, four wheel discs and Mustang II front with airbag suspension. The interior will be as traditional/Original as possible including a simple AC system(Its HOT in El Paso). All the creature comforts to make it a reliable daily driver. I don't really enjoy sitting in the Tahoe - it has no character.. Funny thing, I've had a set of skirts for this car for over 41 years (my dad kept my uncles skirts when his car sold). And..I need papers to get it registered.. Any input or suggestions is appreciated .. anyone got parts or papers for this build? PMs please. Thanks..
Pretty sure that's a two door sedan, not a coupe. Coupe has shorter top, longer deck lid. (See brochure link below.) Body style is a Styleline (as opposed to the fastback Fleetline series.) Lack of fender & body side chrome trim = Styleline Special Chrome trim & etc. = Styleline Deluxe Here's a link to a '50 brochure. http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/1950Chevrolet/index.html
It's a two door sedan...I built one over the past two years...just sold it. Fun build, great for a first build...tons of aftermarket parts for them. It was LOTS of fun!!! I've got some coupe doors if you need them, the window frames just get swapped with what you've got there. Also have Bendix brakes, new brake kit, etc....drop me a line. I'm moving from NJ to CA soon and I need to liquidate....don't have the space for any of it, only my 28 A.
