This is certainly nothing new but since its all home built it may be of interest. I built this rotisserie many years ago to build some steel hoppers (as in large miniature railroad hoppers). I am now using it to finish up and paint my '32 frame for the '28 RPU. It is really handy for both construction, where you are welding on all sides of a large fabrication, and then for painting. Once the frame is balanced on the rotisserie you can rotate it to any position with one hand and it will stay there. One end has a locking bolt to firmly hold the frame in position. Both ends are adjustable in the mounting areas with 3/8 bolts through the adjustment holes. Construction is simple and a days work will making welding and painting a frame a really enjoyable job. If anyone is interested in any more details, just let me know. It was built from s**** in the shop.
I like! I was thinking about useing two cheap engine stands. might have to change a few things like make the stand a little bit taller. who knows just have to try it out.
Yes, that would work fine if you added a little to the posts to make them a little taller. I have seen photos of them being used that way.
