getting started in hotrods

hello to all just getting into building a hotrod i have been around cars all my life and have always loved rods just been a drag racer and now i want a street machine. I have been a fabricator for 18 years welding, sheet metal, machining. I have a small shop out behind my house, and spend a lot of time out there. I also am married to a very cool chick that totally supports my obsession with cars. So as i progress in my build and anyone has any advice my ears are always open.
