Spider, nice report and progress. Can you give a little History ? Last time on road, where it was stored, for how long ? Thanks Somebody gotta ask, CLR ?
A cool Nomad - was slick to see it cruising around yesterday . It looks better with the girl standing with it , than with Rich's mug poking out from behind it , lol !!!
dumbest. post. ever. please paint it, and get rid of the "patina" before it returns to earth. we need to keep nomads around
ya , he bought it in tucson ..the word was it sat for 10 years ..the engine was seized , no rust , but the interior was wasted ..and fried ..motor seized , didn't know ifthe trans worked ..we were resigned to changing the motor ..got a real 57 283 etc my buddy couldn't get the motor that it came started after freeing it up with marval mystery oil so , I went over , found a bad pertronix ..swapped in an original chev dual point , found the rocker arms too tight -firing order wrong , and got it running pretty good , we got 2 quarts of thrans fluid and the glide worked fine game on changed the windshield , vent windows , sliding side windows all new wiring harness bumper to bumper power steering conversion , new rear leaf springs , new brakes , new balancer took it out for a shakedown run wednesday night and had it at lead east friday night
In arizona you can get away with no paint not in the empire state ...he wants to almost daily drive this thing , but it looks cool like this
Killer Nomad Spider! Strikes look perfect on it. Shoot us a message and let us know your name and some highlights about the car. We'll put your photos on rocketracingwheels.com! Ride A Rocket!
I'm all for at least picking a cool flat color and painting it because I couldn't let the body be exposed like that to more deterioration. Maybe Charcoal and White in flat?
Awesome and I have to admit I do like it the way it is..Hopefully by some good graces I will have a Nomad of my own.
