It's nice to get some different opinions. I want to sell one of these projects off but can't actually decide which one to keep. I have a '26 T-coupe and a pair of 1933 Dodge cabs(that include a hood, grille, box, t/gate, will need to locate some sort of swoopy fenders). Either choice MUST have fenders, hoods and bumpers. Have a really nice A frame for a base.

Which would you keep and how would you build it providing you keep to the guidelines?

I voted for the truck based on its overall usefulness after it's completed. I didn't read very far; if you are putting it on a Model A ch***is, either will have about the same utility, and you should choose the one that will get you on the road sooner.

I voted for the coupe but I am partial to coupes

  4. Well, I would keep the "T" as it is more complete with the fenders and all. As to how to build it, That's up to you, if you are going to run a hood and side covers you could go with a modern 4cyl and end up with a good every day driver. I think if you want to go with a BIG motor you would want to run no hood and no fenders or at least no side panels.
    eather way chop it some.

I like the 26 T. I like 26 T's. I want a 26 T. You could build a really *****in 26 T with that to start with. Damn Spankin! I would go with the T. No chop, keep it proper. I got plans for one of those bad boys, yours is nice. I must go now as I am getting drool all over the key board.
What was the price on that 26, it's nice to know how the market is fairing in regards to ones dreams.
    Thanks.

no brainer for me. that T is cool.

those truck cabs on an A frame would be nowhere near as cool.

No brainer... I voted for the coupe. Because that other thing isn't even a Ford.

Just kidding, those trucks look great. Even if they are Mopars.

A full fendered truck is the way to go. It would be nice if ya could just put the T away for a future project

Why even ask the question? It's like asking wood or steel. Dodge for sure

  17. I have a '26 T and a '34 Mopar myself. You will have a hard time finding sheetmetal for the Dodge, I know personally. I'd still build a truck, fenderless, because you don't see Dodges often. Also have more room inside.

I would keep the T and build it mainly because you have nearly a complete car there. It looks like the trucks will end up RRs unless you can find more pieces to them.

Love the T, and they're different.
But, I'm a Mopar guy, and I like useful things as well. So it'd have to be the Dodge truck, and it'd have to be all Mopar to keep it reliable...

go the t, you can absolutely vision what this can end up being, eg chopped roof maybe?? nice engine of choice with the right patina and away you go, they look amazing when done correct, bottom line is choose what you would like to do most, and i totally understand the dollar side of keeping both of em(would obviously be nice) and personally i like both of them (even though i'm more partial to the t) but the big decision is yours buddy , good luck with your decision ,all the best
