I believe Van Etta Motors was a Lincoln, Mercury, Edsel dealer in Oakland and Santa Barbara Calif. in the 50's and 60's. Anyone have any information about them? Also looking to buy any dealer memorabilia.

On the east side of State St., the main drag, at the north corner of Victoria, address would have been 1300 to 1320, the parcel stretched to the corner of Arlington Way.

Their compe***or was Moffet Ford in Carpinteria, 15 miles south.

I just found this site searching for a photo of Van Etta motors. My dad sold cars there (and was also a local musician). I still have his 1956 Continental Mark II, from that dealer in Santa Barbara. I still live in Santa Barbara and my dad's "Conti" is soon to turn 60 (just like me)! I think the car is running better than I am!

Hey Mike, I am restoring my 1963 Mercury Comet S22 Convertible. Thought I would share with you that my car came from Van Ettta Motors and i have the original owners manual with matching Vin #s with the Dealer name. I think the car was a dealer demo and was used by the dealership or manager.
    Cheers! Anthony
