I actually joined the forum back in 08. Mostly to be able to search and read the threads. I never bothered to introduced myself since I do not own a traditional hot rod or "custom" as they seem to be called around here. I realize from reading that this site has a narrow scope as far as all that goes. I am almost 45 (way too soon!!!!) and have been working on my own vehicles since I was 14. At age 16 I fell in love with the truck my neighbor was building. It took me until age 38 to find one that was basically original. I own and drive an almost stock 1956 Ford F-100. Y-block, 3 speed, etc. I have no intention of changing it other than adding a few modern safety features. It will never be a hot rod, custom, or any other term people use. Its just a truck and is used as one. I do enjoy reading the many threads. I learn a lot just reading. Later, Brian
