A little while ago I posted a note about finding some cars in Monahans TX. Well I won't go into all the boring details but it turned out to be a scarey and wacky adventure. I'm still not sure this cat wasn't on some series drugs. Stories kept changing, prices went up and down, and I almost walked away. But I did get away with one of the cars there I really wanted. There are still a couple there but I'll leave them for someone else.

But my prize is a 1947 Ford Biz Coupe (now some of you know why I was asking about them). It's really straight and rust free. Needs alot of cleaning up but I'm impressed with the overall shape.

Geez Terry. Now I'm feeling guilty about giving you those step plates... opened the door for another FORD in your growing collection of FORDs. You are as bad a Chevy man as I am. Bwahahahahaha.

Ever sort out the other truck deal? Once I get done doctoring Barb I'll be over for a closer look.

Do you know what else he has there?
    Where is Monahans,TX?
What kind of drugs was he doin?
Do you mind if I asked what stuff was going for?[/QUOTE]

Like I say, prices went up and down so these prices maybe high or low depending on his mood. But here goes

    My Coupe - 1100.00

    Still there:
1937 Ford P/U - Complete but a little rough. It has a early? Pontiac motor and automatic with a Ford 9 inch rear. Funny it has a tracking bar that runs backwards. But everything is there. Last tagged 1969, and comes with a secound 37 Cab and frame with doors and a little bit better bed. - $2000.00

A couple of 65 Short step Chevys - All he said was a couple of hundred for those.

    A 55 Ford 1/2 ton P/U complete but rough - $500.00

A 1937 Ford Slant Back Sedan, complete. But it has been taken apart some. Front end and rear fenders are off, but stored inside. Factory hubcaps and all. This is problbly the best car there. Don't know if the flathead is in the shed or not. The door fell off when we tried to look! - 2500.00

Some of these have paperwork but I don't know which.

Monahans is right on I-20 just about 35 miles west of Odessa. And about 20 miles west of Penwell raceway.

TP> No LOL! he's a tall Spanish guy. About 40ish
