Need a quick answer, Cadillac Fuel Pump, Which is inlet which is outlet??

    So, on this Cadillac 390 fuel pump, which is the inlet and which is the outlet? Thanks!

    On my 1957 365 the fuel pump port closest to the front is fuel from the tank.. The rear port goes to the carbs. You could remove your pump and manually move the plunger. One side will **** and the other will push.

    That's what I thought, Just wanted to confirm before running fuel lines tonight and maybe trying to start it. Thanks Fred!

    have somebody bump the starter while you have both holes covered with fingers

    but I think you already knew how to figure out how,

    you just (rightly) wanted to show off that beauty :)

    A somewhat related question....Does anyone know if high volume mechanical fuel pumps are available for the early Caddy V8's?

    I'm on board with that...I omitted the mechanical pump, so I am scratching my head a little!
