Well, 2011 marked another fun Hot Rod Week in Nor Cal leading up to the West Coast Nationals. All the stops can be found on the Goodguys website. I'm just going to post the pics and let them speak for themselves. Don't know what Hot Rod Week is? Goodguys puts on a four day long tour of hot rod shops and places that will likely interest hot rodders. We visit everything from private collections to museums to active shops. What's even cooler is that it's FREE! OK, I know I said I wasn't going to say much about the stops, but this was my first time visiting the Hiller Aviation Museum and...WOW!
Man, great photos of what looks like a great time! I guess the holes in these signs are for the neon? Like this one?
Good stuff Kirk, every time we go to the Smithsonian Air & Space museum the wife has to drag me out - and I'm not even an airplane nut. I see brother Jay's hard at it;
The Wen-Mac Hiller Flying Platform was one the first glow plug toys I had and then the Thimble Drome sign at the end. Good stuff Kirk! Thanks.
Great photos Kirk! Thanks for sharing. Maybe it's just me getting older, but I remember the shows where you use to push your ***istant around in a pedal car stroller.
KIRK! - I snuck out of the office on Wednesday AM so that I could checkout the cool stuff at Gambino Kustoms & Varni's "Speed Nymph Garage" ... but your pics of the other venues confirm that I should have just taken the entire week off from work ... it's obvious that I missed out on viewing some really "Neat Old Stuff" ... and that I'm gonna have to take my (ex Navy pilot) brother to the Hiller Aviation Museum. Thanks for sharing!
