    About to put the motor and trans into the 55 Buick Special we have. The car was originally a 264/manual car. We are putting in a 322/auto. I'm kind of confused by the trans mounts, I'm showing three different trans mounts on all the pages I'm looking at. I don't have any mounts with the car at all, since it came with no engine/trans.

    Here are the listings I'm finding everywhere;

    http://www.hagensautoparts.com/1955/BUICK/50+Super+322-V8/ENGINE+-+Mounts/322-V8+4+Bore/

    Does the car use all 4 mounts? (two motor mounts, one thrust mount, one trans mount) or does it use either a thrust mount OR a trans mount?

    The used crossmember I just bought has a destroyed thrust mount already on it.

    If you could that would be great. Since this car came with nothing, I have no idea what I'm working with here.

    It uses all 4 mounts if it still has the torque tube in it.
