so me and the fam have decided to ditch this desert and head for virginia in a few months. moving my crap is one thing but then there's the galaxie... part of me says sell it and just buy something else when i get there( new projects are always fun ). the other part remembers working on west virginia rust buckets when i was younger and dragging a west coast car seems like a good idea. i checked already and its gonna be over a grand to have the car shipped. i pretty much have my mind made up i think but i need some input from car people cuz the wife doesnt get it.

If you ship it and then don't want it, sell it at a premium.

No one wants to work with rust.

If you don't you will wish you had.

Rust free Arazona car, or find one in Virginia, is that really a question?

so get a mate to drive it up and buy him a plane ticket back. if your moving to the rust belt wouldn't that make the car worth more up there, so if you sell it in AZ it won't be worth as much as in Virginia?

I don't know these things, but I see a lot of guys going on about how hard it is to find stuff in the north that is a good start.

think the question you got to ask yourself is.. do you like the galaxie or are you bored and want to start fresh.. east coast cars suck.. but you already know that.. if your happy with the galaxie. .then find a way to get it to va.. if your bored of it then sell it and cross your fingers you can find something you like better when you get to where your going or along the way.

I am curious. So many people seem to be making the opposite move. If you don't mind, why are you leaving Arizona and going back East? Oh, to the point, I say keep the car and either drive it or get someone you trust to caravan it with the moving van.

um.... there's a reason people here are willing to spend alot of money to ship a car from AZ/CO/CA to this place

I can't wait to move the opposite direction once my kids are out of school

    BTW, wanna buy a house?

Can I assume that at least one of the two o/t vehicles you're referring to are late models? Because one of those is what you should sell, you can buy a replacement for that anywhere.

Looked at the pix of your car, find a way to keep it, you will never find anything that nice on this coast.

Buy an inexpensive dual axel trailer, when you get wherever, sell the trailer. Or do what I did, keep the trailor, the car, and figure " Hey , it's now easier to get more!"

if part of you says sell it then sell it. if it was something you really wanted you wouldn't even consider it.

Do you think you can find a car that clean on the east coast for $1000.00? Something to think about.

If you do decide to sell it. Try to find something else to bring with you. Everything is rough out this way.
