I know , another "what is it ?" thread..

I found this in a '57 150 I bought the other day , I never saw one of these , looks cool , can anynody identify it?

 

Kinda sorta looks like the scoop off the hood of a big Ford truck.

That's what I think it is, pretty sure I've seen one before, although without the louvers. Bolt-on accessory type deal.

 

how have you survived on here with that name Ratroddude?

have you looked at how many here have ratrod in their screen names?

 

dont know where or what it is but theres a young guy around here that has one just like it (except rusty and no louvers) on his 66 comet g***er its riveted to his hood

Someone even posted a scan of an old JC Whitney add that had them in it a few years ago.

 

Just like Low Budget and Chisntx said , its just a name , I have a p***ion and a drive for pre 64 cars , and unlike you , I don't ask stupid questions not relative to the topic on the thread , that being said , thanks for the back up Low Budget and Chrisntx , I have thought about starting a thread about changing my name , you know , Converting over a rat....I saw a thread a while back about a guy Changin' a rat rod to a hot rod , mabye it'll work for a name , I just dont want to loose my senior member status , and plus , everyone has come to know me by this name...I guess it's gonna be hard to change....
