anybody have a hollander handy? here's what i got; 68 charger 4 speed 71 challenger that was a 340 car, now getting a 440. mounts are taken care of but i want to know if theres a difference in the tailshaft as far as shifter location. not being a mopar guy, it's new teritory.... any help?
I am pretty sure you are going to need a different tailhousing. 66-69 B body had one mount close to the main case, while the later 70 & up units had dual mount pads for B and E body use. Because your trans is older, it won't have the second shift pad you'll need for an E body. Call Jamie at P***on Performance. He is the MAN with this stuff. He can definitely hook you up. 570-401-8949. His name is KuckleBobber on the HAMB.

This is the Skinny. As Buickinabucket stated: You need a '70 and up tailhousing. For the E Body (Challenger) you use the rear shifter mount that is non existent on the '68 Charger tailhousing. Any further questions... (570) 401 8949. By the way Buickinabucket, it is nice to see that you picked something up during all those LATE nights in the garage! Good Call! Thanks, Jamie
