Hey guys, Newbie to hot rods here. Not a newbie to cars. Mechanical engineering student with way more wrenching under my belt than I care to admit. Finally got to the point where the best of the 90s is starting to get boring. I have a bit of a fetish for the 50s sheet metal. I'm looking to get myself into something real nice and unique on a budget. The 53-56 f100s really get my blood going, as well as the Divco delivery trucks. So beautiful. Anyway, If you all know of any tricks for finding projects on a budget, or know of any budget builds on here that I might enjoy, please let me know. I really appreciate it. Best wishes all and have a great weekend!
What was good in the 90's? Just kidding man, welcome to the H.A.M.B. from Texas! Check out the cl***ifieds here and locally. Also might just try driving down the highway and keeping your eyes open. Good luck!
I love the 90s subarus. Symmetrical drivetrain, double wishbone rear suspension, independent front, boxer 4 engine, 100% mechanical all wheel drive, available in all sorts of body styles, modern fuel injection, simple as a box of nails. True mechanical beauty. But these older trucks really stir the soul!
Welcome! I don't have much to offer you on how to keep under budget, I am always way over budget, but I do have fun!
