Handbrake Problem

I have a 350 in my 53 belair and was wondering what kind of a handbrake setup would work as the one in it now is useless because of the new motor.

My 52 has a 327. Very tight with the handbrake and can't remember exactly how I did it now (10 yrs ago) but I modified the stock mounting. I think I cut it shorter where it goes thru the firewall. The cable is still tight against the rams horn but it works

 

Uh...whats a handbrake...mine doesn't have one at all anymore
