Finally after 6 months of CL stalking I found this right by my house! It has a 170/with a c4,new brakes/with a duel M.S,and a 67 Mustang bench seat. Runs like a top so far! Less than 24 hours in, I brought it to a local show! Can't wait to add my touches to it,and make it a daily!
i had a 63 ranchero a few years back, technically my dad gave it to me, LOVE THOSE CARS. very reliable and got me where i needed, drove it 20 miles to and from college every weekday for 4 months with that inline 6. cant wait to see what you do to it, these things can have some cool modifications done to it
Had a '63 I got from Vern Tardell...Body was sound. Dumped the 170 w/3spd for a 200 w/5spd. Granada Disc brakes and Maverick 8 inch rear. Got about 175 hp out of that sweet 6 and it hauled ***..Good luck with yours
Great looking car. I love those early Rancheros as well and am working on a pair now - 60 & 62 to use as drivers for the wife & myself.
congrats, i like the early racheros.. have a 70 out back waiting to have the 351 yanked.. hope no gremlins show up. chris.
Naturally, my "normal" friends just don't get it! "why did you buy that?" don't you have a old car already? Where's the Galaxie?..... It's not how many, it's what you got! I got the same treatment from my Mom about records! "don't you have enough records already? Sheese!!!
Got back from the DMV, gonna put the right plates on now! Tomorrow she will be going to work with me!
I've got a '62 myself! It's revitalization got put on hold when the girlfriend found "the" '62 wagon... That plus my '62 sportsroof car puts me awfully Falcon heavy around these parts! Soon they will all be out buzzin' around.
Ha! went to look at some four lug Cragars and found some four lug five slot slot mags for mine... Nothing in them yet, but I'm sure i'm going to owe my buddy something!
I love them Heres mine 1963 1/2 Original factory 260 V8, Original over the country Factory Tri power, 4 Speed
The front of the rear wheel opening has been stretched 3" towards the front of the car, and I was able to fit a 15 x 8" TT-II with a 4 1/2" backspace and a 215-70 tire. The front has 205-60's on a 15 x 7 TT-II with a 3 1/2" backspace. If I were to do it over again, I would have used 5 1/2" or 6" wide wheels in the front.
