I was pretty surprised to see that! I thought the BB and 1148058 also told year.
What does the "18" actually mean? The 34 fenders could very well have been with the 34 frame. 36 grille and 35 cab tells me it was wrecked at one time?
***led as a 35 with a '35 cab... Still looking into purchase but not at 10k.

Engine is pretty complete and ran last time tried 3yrs ago. The plug wires were eaten off by rats so they just took regular wire and attached it to ends then to plugs to fire it up...

The 80yr old guy told me only 4 '35 wreckers were built. Not sure where he got that info from. The RATS made a real mess out of it. A true "Rat Rod". lol
He did not seem concerned about the rats. Said once before he poisoned them and then a year later were back again.

$10k is fair, with about 3.5oz of gold in the glovebox.

    $2,500-4k range more like it...

I'm a ****er for old tow trucks, ran a tow service for many years and always wanted to have one as a mascot.
Being parts of different trucks would be a deal breaker for me unless it was real cheap. 10 grand is about 7-8 grand too much IMHO. All I see there is a good parts truck. Big trucks generally don't bring a lot of money (I paid $3500 for a running, straight & rustfree 32 BB a couple years ago),
wrecker booms turn up now and again for less then a grand and most times it's easier and cheaper just to build a new wrecker body (bed) the to repair the old one.
Old wreckers are cool but if you want one I think it wouldn't be too difficult to find a better one at a lot less money.

I was going to offer him 2500 for starters until he said 10k. With all the mis-match in parts and the closer look do not think I would go over 2500.00 I would rather have a nicer one to start with. The wrecker portion was in pretty sad shape too. For the final quality of job I want that would be a good parts truck!

Smokin machine, love these old work horses. My Dad had a 50 Ford wrecker that was awesome cool. Good luck if you tackle this dandy. The ones dredged up from Goodle are real slick. Thanx kids. ~sololobo~

It's a 1936 cab, it has the body crease on the door and the cowl and around the lower windshield post.

I must have that backwards. I understood if the body crease went into cowl a bit and stopped it was a 1936 and if body line went all the way around "A" pillar it was a 1935? What you are saying is opposite?

Short crease on cab a 1935? All the way around a 1936?
    Can someone clarify?

This truck is like the gold one pictured.

You are saying the Orange truck is a 1935 and the Gold a 1936?

I did have it correct initially. darkk said it was a '36. Thanks for the clarification!

Does the body reveal on the cowl continue with a crisp line about an inch below windshield frame? 36's fade away with a radius. From what I can see in the pictures, leads me to believe its a 35. Also early 35's have removable door window garnishes. 2 cents!
