Okay just finished posting my coverage of the Goodguys show across town, you can see it here. But this thread ain't about no Goodguys it's about Los Punk Rods and the 2011 Greaserama at Boulevard Drive In in Merriam, KS. I stopped by to visit Ben Dragdaddy's and peered over his shoulder to see what he was working on. Check out Ben's art and buy some, I try to buy some every year! The forecasted rain finally found us. Yes I showed this pair of kool rides in the Goodguys coverage, and yes I'm showing it again. Different... but I can see some cool there. I don't know if it's an original ute or a built one though. Here's Herb....and he's not sleeping! Always good to see you, my friend! Rain found us again! My friends from about Wichita on south deep into Texas would love to see some moisture so I'm not going to complain about 3 little showers while we're at the koolest show in KC! Hmmm, so the sun is out and it's POURING...yup love those days. Rain's over.... for now... let's cruise the Greaserama! Super sweet Chebby! The only hot rodded Hupmobile I've ever seen, all covered up due to the rain, I bet the louvered roof panel doesn't lend itself well to the rain. Part 3! Just a quick one before heading off to the day job folks! Love this ride, I see it around quite a bit but haven't met the owner yet. The monsters come out in the daytime at Greaserama... Love this Gasser Ok, so are altered wheelbase drag machines considered traditional? I hope so because I dug this wild shortened panel. Kustoms show up at the Greaserama as well. Another shot for ya. Part 4! The Greaserama is one of my favorite shows, Los Punk Rods put on a great event and I plan on attending for years to come. killer long roof! And another... LoBuck must be following me, he's everywhere that I go Then the rain came for a 3rd time on Saturday and I took cover under Coolstuff's tent. Go buy his DVD's at Vintage Torque! Part 5, Sunday at the 2011 Greaserama! Yes I know I'm obsessed with shooting Firestone Tires lol And this car, but it's too awesome for me to not shoot it over and over again. Here's Don's 53, great guy that I've been honored to get to know a bit these last few shows. Sunday the crowd was not as big as Saturday but there were still a ton of people in the Drive In The lack of cars and people on Sunday early made the pictures better in my opinion. Love this fellow H.A.M.B.er's truck! Then I stopped by and hung out with Ben Dragdaddy's and his wife again, watched Ben work some of his magic... There were a handful of bettys walking around taking shots with a few photographers, sorry I had to sneak one shot while they were there and posing for someone else. I shouldn't have but I did. Part 6 will come in a bit tonight, working on some other stuff, then tomorrow keep a look out for the Starliner shots! See you at a show, Travis

The rain really didn't run too many people off, this isn't the type of the car crowd to be scared of some water haha. Thanks man, it was good to meet ya too finally! I may hit the show in Carthage on Oct. 15th but I don't know for sure yet, so I may be in the neighborhood.
Part 7! Harold and Shawn looking over some of the rides. Chucklz daughter in a car that came from Bobwop's A local band called the Fall Down Drunks that was walking around playing tunes for tips, damn good band too! Just some of the artists that were on hand! I couldn't resist taking pics of this lovely posing with Dragdaddy's cut out. Mark & Diane's Skull Orchard Express, this truck was at the H.A.M.B. Drags, the Run Whatcha Brung Drags in Salina and is currently competing in Hot Rod Magazine's Drag Week, good luck to the Sax's! Yet another photoshoot with a betty at the Greaserama.
