I would also like to see both! Don't plan on doing seat covers in the near future so maybe that one could wait until later.

new guy question:confused:. When is tech week? i have a how to on ****on & tufted looks really easy :) im planning on it for my 40 pickmup. Im a cabinet maker and have seat frames planned out that can be modified or not for compfort. The foam is shaped with an electris meat knife it would take quite a bit to get it from book form to posting it here if there's interest in ****on/tuffed i would enjoy getting it on paper.

OOPS in my excitement wanting to share this i forgot bout infringement rights so the name of the book is Street Rod Building Skills by John Thawley #S132 yellow body with red letters

i wish i could remember what issue of hotrod magazine had the how to do a tuck n roll for a bucket T.. they made it look so simple.. granted i know better but.. i wish i could remember which issue had it since thats what id like in the bucket T i plan on building.. with lots of foam, they are so damn comfy.. the only thing iv made was a motorcycle seat.. for a vw trike i built.. turned out nice.. i did get a strange look from my mom when i asked to use grandma old sewing machine.. im glad it was built ford tough.. or i would of broke it with out even thinking about plastic teeth that is used in new sewing machines now..

Being I have louver dies and no press I say Louver Press. Industrial sewing machine or not its still the same concept. Having a Industrial machine only makes it a bit eaiser. There is still tons of skill and practice needed in doing your own upholstry either way you go. Maybe do a bit on patern making as well? I have a Singer 111w155 and a 56. Both nice industrial machines but I have made several covers on a home machine as well?
