Thanks guys! I plan on keeping the car forever, I love it too much to sell it. With only 300hp and the automatic trans, she wont break lose and spin the tires. She sticks to the road and launches like nothing I've ever owned. A fun car to drive. The best is when I pick Shelby up from school (2nd grade) and all the kids know we are leaving sideways out of the lot onto the road. We cant hear all the yelling from the kids over the straight pipes, my wife teaches there and tells us about it later. The kids love the car.

Thanks for keeping up the posts, man! :D Often, when a build's done, it stops dead or fades away. Been FUN to see you and your 'rod in action!!!

Your story above reminds me of a little TRUE story I have to shoehorn in. Lady I worked with years ago, you'd never have taken her for a lead-foot, ya know? Well, she had youngsters there in the late '50s, and her daily was a '57 New Yorker!

She said one of her favorite memories was going to pick up her son after special events or sports practices at school. He'd jump in the 92 and grin, "PEEL OUT, MOM!" And she'd dazzle his buddies for him by laying a respectable patch! ;) I'll bet he walked like a tall dog the next day, every time she did that! Youngsters get a kick out of a car that's different and loaded with ponies, eh? :p

Took the coupe out today to a local show, had a great time! This car runs better every time I take it out. I'm still looking for a new project to start, can't wait to build another car.

  17. Great thread. Thanks for the ride. Super car and enjoyed the family shots.

    Great job Gary.

Sigh....I started my build on the AD 6 months before you (roughly) and I see this thread pop back up to the top....

Way to make me feel like a real slouch on my build....(course I hadda little sidetrack there for a year with the hospital, house and shit but non the less).

Great build, glad your enjoying it.....going to the Turkey Run end of March?

i really liked your build thread, almost every day a step or two forward, now go take some metal finishing courses, a hand made 32 roadster is not beyond your ability.

    You couldn't afford a steel 32 3 window,but you can afford a steel 36 3-window?

I like your car a lot and even own a steel 32 5-window myself, but IMHO the 36 3-window coupe is the prettiest car ever built. Even prettier than a 40 coupe, and that's saying a lot.

  24. Looking good K32t!
One thing you guys got that I forgot: I left the key lock on the driver's door.. CRAP!! Dead giveaway.

Don't matter glass or steel,,the finished product is all that matters and yours looks great.

What an amazing story. And not just about a car.

About a dream. About planning and work. About family. About love. About friends. About perseverence... More work. More perseverence. Excellence.

And then the car... perfect. No other word for it... perfect.

I was lucky enough to have Trent Sherrill come to Florida and shoot my coupe. As soon as I get the rest of the pictures I will put them up.
