  1. Well an 11 hour day of work turns out successfull!
Removed bed, and the 9 inch rear axle. Cut off spring perches from the 9 inch and welded them below the mopar 8 3/4 rear axle and mocked it up. Next I plasma cut the frame out for the C-notch, and we welded some 4 inch pipe in there. We still need to box the backside of the frame..anyways here ya go!

When I removed the original rear end, I used my angle degree wheel and zeroed at the spring perches then checked at the pinion snout with a straight edge. Measured at 10 degrees up. So when we installed the new rear end I replicated that degree. After it was installed I pre-loaded the springs to approx ride highth and rechecked, it is at 5 degrees up..So when we install the motor and trans, we'll point the trans down 5 degrees...

  10. Hey Alex my buddy below is a busy man!

Thanks for chiming in Keeth, info is better straight from the person who did it.. LOL

  11. wow so clean.
    nice work.

  12. thanks dude

  13. After our car clubs one year anniversary BBQ at the lake..we got some stuff done. Also not in pics we cut out my boxing plate for my frame and just have to weld it in. We were to excited to not mock it up so here goes! Also will have to ''dome'' out a spot in the bed floor where the Pumpkin is. I can stick my fingers in and thats all.

  15. Boxed the frame today and worked on the steering column fab work but sadly no shots of that...I did some crappy welds on the top part of frame,Was NOT happy with that. Oh well atleast it's my truck and not a customers and nobody will see it.

That would be too low, it looks good and drivable as it sits , after you drop the motor it will have a nice little rake too. Good work kid.

  19. wow your doing great.
    pretty young too

  20. Well it wouldn't be totally dropped. The whole truck will sit fairly level.

    Thanks, yeah I'm 15 haha

  22. The Fruits of our Labors is done...FOR NOW! We fabbed up some engine mounts, and bolted the front end back together and loaded it up on trailer and brought it back to my house...sadly it got wet last night...(Oregon=RAIN)

  23. Also the front end is slightly forward than stock in order to center them. The torsion bars are at max in this pic so when they get raised back up the wheels will be more centered.

Great looking pickup, I like the new stance! You're doing good, keep it up.
The Studebaker wheel cover looks pretty good on there.
