Just to gauge everyone's testosterone level. How do we feel about pink? I almost bought a pink and black '58 Buick. One of my favorite Fords around here is a pink and plack '56 2dr htp (with white R & P). There are gobs of pink - and I mean PINK pink to salmon colored rods and kustoms through the years. Who has owned a pink car? I would, if the right car came along that happened to be pink! Let's see your pinkies! LOL
Drive a pink car now--I like it--My car would just be another car if it was any other color--Drives my brother nuts that I won't change the color
I have never owned a pink car or have I thought about buying one, but there are a lot of pink, salmon and black cars that really are nice cars and the color combos really work for that style of car. I think if I ran into a car that I liked and it was pink and black I would have no problem buying it.
FAKE ***TIES TASTE FUNNY no they dont !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you must have never tasted them ................ steve
Pink is really not my color but it is ok in a two tone combo. But I like a 55 chevy with charcol gray and coral pink.
My 55 chevy,s original color was coral. I called it pink. So i sanded it and let it surface rust,. It looks much better now. OldWolf
Only if I'm building the car for my daughter! And even then, I'd rather see pink in the pinstriping instead of the whole car.
Pink is good as long a it's on the "right" car The pic poorboy posted is a dead on example of how great they can look. I knew a guy who had a 58 ford 2 door custom 300 with Roth "dog pecker pink" flaked roof and a flat pepto pink color body looked great. If my old comp didn't crash I'd still have a pic ):
Saw a 1959 Cadillac Flattop in pink with heavily burned paint once, on ebay or what, can not remember, but it was cool as hell.
I had a pink and light yellow '57 Buick. Looked good on that car, but I don't know how that would look on a '58.
I don't care for pastel colors on anything earlier than the '50's, and I think they are most appropriate only if that was the original color or color combination. That '57 Premier looks great, by the way.
I saw a Model A sedan in Pa. many years ago that was pink. When we got close he had a striper paint... "Kiss my ***... it's peach." on the back. I thought it was funny but it would not work for me.
As said earlier, pink is NOT for every car. Late '50s cars (pink, coral, salmon - all are various shades of pink) in a two- or three-tone is sweet! '70 - '71 Dodges and Plymouths (Panther Pink) look right, too. Anything else...in the majority of cases, not so much.
LOL That's awesome and looks right. I have no desire to tolerate being able to use every color in the spectrum except pink. That's stupid. Hell, as late as the '50s pink was a man's color, because it is a red.
Pink? No, not seeing it for myself. I like pink riding in old cars, but not pink cars. Not that there is anything wrong with one I guess. Black? Now that is a good color for an old car.
Pink is a great color for cars. If you have a problem with it, maybe the problem is your masculinity??
