I agree with a clean and orderly garage,,,,,but sometimes when putting stuff away the perfect place of some item may be the last time you can find it....
I once had a friend that would hang around the shop and put things away. I would be working laying on my back reaching for the screw driver that I just set down and he would have already put it away. I finally had to ins***ute a "Keep your fu..... hands off my tools " policy. A CLEAN SHOP IS A SIGN OF A MENTAL DISEASE !!!
If a cluttered shop is the sign of a cluttered mind! What is the sign of an empty shop? Hell half the fun is cussing and swearing trying to find ****!!!!!!!!!! Cliff. Why should I leave? I ain't got no kids.
sh*t..every time i start to clean my garage-i drag the sh*t out & some damn idiot stops & ask if i'm having a garage sell ..it kills my my A.D.D & O.C.D..then i gotta worry about the s****pers [blood ****ing parasites-thieving *******s] seeing what i have laying around,
Clean as you go, use a tool, when finished wipe it down and put it back where it belongs. You can only use what tools are in your hand so you don't need half a tool box laying on the floor. The 5S moto of a place for everything and everything in its place. You would be surprised at how much easier a job is when you don't have to work in dirt and grime and don't have to search all over for the tool you know you had somewhere. Modifieddrivers work shop looks as if a handgernade went off in it most of the times, but the floor is cleaned, tools are put up and equipment is stored properly. when working over there he can tell you where every tool/equipment is. I always use what I can hold in my hands and put it back where it came from as soon as I'm finished. A shop can be clean and organized but still look cluttered from stuff.
