ok, someone translate this 'cause from what i can tell, this is one of the best threads (not on the hamb) I've seen.
I'm a little late to the party, but here is another scratch built roadster body. The build thread is here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=615827 You might also get some ideas from this free on-line book http://www.hotrodders.com/scratch-built/Cover particularly the gallery of scratch built bodies in chapter 7.
thanks for the info guys.. after a summer of thinking.. iv decided im gonna go ahead and build a woodie bucket/roadster.. i will use a gl*** or metal cowl.. depending what i can find.. then i will use the frame used in the old buckets starting point on construction design.. and for skin im thinking red ceder with white ceder accent strips.. thinking chitty bang bang ) the body not the build, that car is way to big for my needs i just want a little roadster not a tank.. or high quality speed boats made of wood you can get a idea of what the wood body would look like.. i have more wood tools, and know how than i do with sheet metal.. this is my logic.. cant say if i will fail or succeed.. but im gonna try. here is the is a picture of the old wood body i will use plus some added braces and maybe even 2"x2" steel square tubing internal frame time will tell. I will use bucket T frame plans i have. modified to fit my tall ***. if it turns out nice and im the only one who likes it, fantastic. so thats my plan to start on my winter bucket t project.. now i need to find a cowl.. once i get the cowl.. i will then get a bunch of 2x4's to rough up the frame, and the body.. if it fits me.. i will go to final stage ( oak, steel, ceder, etc ).. since 2x4's are dirt cheap. chris.

Sorry I missed your post, That is the first body still needs some work to finish. Health and Un-employment have conspired to put my projects on the backburner.
