  1. I just made toast and forgot about it as I was side tracked. It was as hard as nails. I had to repop new bread 2 more times before I actually got some fresh toast that I remembered!!!!!

    I knew I had A.D.D. when I started watching Dr. Phil. I bring home really neat stuff and my wife will ask me "which motorcycle/car/airplane is that part for?"

    Got it too - just added a model A project to the stable 3 months ago, I have a 4 barrel intake and carb for the '71 250 sitting on the bench (for months), I need to put a/c in my '62, fix the porch, clean the garage, fix the (insert house issue here)..... etc...

    Today one of the guys I work with asked me if I knew anyone interested in a '68 Mustang for $1500 - runs/drives, just needs floorboards. MUST RESIST

    I tell the wife she saves animals (cats/dogs) and I save stray old cars/trucks. "You've always wanted a Mustang haven't you?"

    Realized the other day that I've been "working" on my '33 for 17 years. And a lot of the other projects are the same age. Man, a guy can sure "good deal" himself to death!
    After trying to keep kids on wheels, work 40 hrs, maintain the place, spend time with the fam, there aint; nothin' left. ....And Rickybop is correct - - nobody thinks your stuff is worth anything but yourself. Oh well, it's got the****utic value if nothing else!

  12. I love other peoples stuff!!! I think other peoples stuff is worth alot and when they are giving it away, man I can't p*** on a good deal!!!!!!So your quote {"nobody thinks your stuff is worth anything but yourself. "! }
    That only pertains to people without A.D.D.

    Sign me up for the club, at 19 I already have enough projects to last a LONG time. 2 old trucks that need restored, various tractors to restore, a motor and ****** set I'm hoping to find a hotrod for, dozens of parts and motors for small atvs and buggies in the shed, sheds to paint, house to fix, yard to mow. The list goes on and on.

    I have started to resist looking at ads, I see A's and T's for sale on here and craigslist, and the ideas start flooding and I start to type the phone number to call and I just stop, exit. and go to start working on one of my current projects. It's hard but it's working...kinda, then I get on the HAMB and find threads like this to read.

    I called my Doctor about OCD, but couldn't stop pressing 1 repeatedly.
    After my finger was bloodly; I called my co-dependent and asked her to call someone to press #3; but they were bi-polar depressive and said no one would pick up the phone !

    P.S. It took me 15 years to restore my Grandfather's 2 dr Fleetline-after you read my bio-you know WHY I HAVE A PERMIT TO CARRY A BIG _____ ! LOL,, Fly

    So, if we all suffer from this, does that make us normal?

    I have finally gotten down to 1 project truck (for now) and a Harley parts collection on the side. But, between moving and other day to day things haven't had time for the truck, going to get my wood stove in my garage then MAKE time for the truck, and buy some new parts so I don't get bored with it too fast. It seems like I get them running, drive them a few times and I'm ready to move on, the build has become more enjoyable than driving for some reason. On that note, off to look for a 55 Ford Fairlane. LOL
