Well its just time to start my own Rebuild tread It is a ford pickup and i am going to build it like a Mild Hotrod The color going to be like some original colors from the time green or blue. So this is the start now i just have to work on it More pics in my Album
Very Kool. Looks like awesome material you are starting with! I'm looking forward to watching your progress.
How did you find a truck that nice over there ? That really looks like a great foundation to start with . Now what drive train are you going to use ? Please tell me it will be a Ford ? Retro Jim
We are lucky to already be in North America where you can buy something like that locally. I can't imagine the logistics trying to ship something across an ocean. Nice looking truck. Should be a fun project.
Sweet truck to start with bro, love that year and the styling of them. Glad to hear you are going flatty. Best of luck with the project, I will be offering encouragment thru the build. Dig it! ~Sololobo~
So then it was time to start restoring my 1937 Ford pickup. Have owned the car for 1 year but not had time to grab the renovation work, but now it's time I began to take down the car yesterday. One advantage to tell about the renovation is to put some pressure on myself. Sincerely, T-bars
So then I have been a little bit to the dismantling of the car. It goes a little slowly. I get just a few hours a week so it takes time. But I hope that the framework is dismantled into next weekend for blasting Once a few pictures
So now the body is gone now starts the fun part. To make the frame clean and begin to leave things in the blast. A small wonder, should I paint traditionally or should I powder coat the frame. Grateful for comments and once again some pictures
That's up to you. If you can get the ch***is blasted and powdercoated, do it. But if you want to brush paint it, that's fine too. Just depends on the level of finish you want in the final project. An "amateur" restoration or rodification can be just as cool as a full on big budget deal. Are you going to keep it or are you going to flip it? If you flip cars, you may want to go all the way in your build (more asking price). I'm just building mine with as little stress as I can, along with my buddies. It'll be more than cool enough for me. Be ZEN like. haha Great pics AND garage, by the way!
looks like you have a solid truck to work from.. iv seen the brush on rust prevention stuff.. and it looked great. keep up the good work. chris
Then another step taken took out the engine from the frame with some help from my son. So now I have only a frame, front and rear axles. Inspected the frame and it leans towards that I drill out the rivets and blast all loose to ensure that all rust is gone. Have found some cracks in the frame so it will be to look closely for blasting. I'll be back with more info on how it goes
