Hot Rod & Custom things to do in Wichita, KS

I will be travelling to Wichita, KS at least two, maybe three times in the next several weeks for business. Although my schedule looks pretty tight, I am hoping to have a little free time and wanted to check out any hot rod or custom related stuff. Shops, museums, speed shops, events, anything? Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

 

Look up John Coupe just outside Wichita.

I think that Cole's dad is down in that area (Pat Foster). Also, make sure you travel over to McPhail's in Wellington, Kansas and get a tattoo. Or I think that his open house is sometime in June and there are some real cool cars there and great music.

labor day weekend there is a show and music in lexington . I dont know how for away it is.

 

Hubert Harness has a collection to die for......he's in the book......I am no longer in wellington, no shop, no open house.........I work at the Elektrik Chair in Wichita..... on Douglas.......just down the road from Big Dog motorcycles.......there are rod shops on Douglas now.......
