I've heard of the races at Maxton, but I've never made the trip as of yet. Sounds like a road trip to me...

This is killer! Well worth going. Nice people, great cars and real good visibility. The bike are a treat as at Bonneville. I cant wait to go back with somthing to run.

Where exactly is Maxton? Is it more near the mountain, beach or what? Also how many times do they have this event I want to try and make it down there!

maxton is a bit in from the coast. somewhere in the 1-2 range i'd guess. taking 74 from charlotte to wilmington it's a little closer to the wilmington side. i p*** by there a good bit. if things fall through with taking my bike down to get the hardtail next weekend i may try to make it. it's about 3 1/2 hours for me if memory serves me right...ken....

Ken, thanks for the info. I would really like to make that. Just forgot though haha I am graduating next week and will have a ton of long distance family members over for that weekend. :( I am guessing also it would be around 4 hours for me if it's 3 1/2 for you.

I know a guy from Bryan, Tx named Robert Cooley, older fella, (and I'm 57) has a 27 roadster with a chev engine runs there. Cool guy, been racing for a long time. has lots of killer flathead stuff.
