I always seems to be the things that we see as small that stall our projects and frustrate the hell out of us. For me lately it's been

    1) finding sway bar bushings that are 13/16" I.D. by 1 3/8" O.D.,

    2) finding aluminum slotted mags that are 15 x 7 with 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern

    3) finding a replacement drag link or a rebuild kit for the one I have (I could have SWORN that L & M Truck offered one) and

    4) figuring out the residual proportioning for my dual reservoir master cylinder.

I jump into getting the body work all done, but by the time I'm rounding the last corner, I'm just too burnt out to finish the last panel. I've got 2 projects that in the same state in my shop.

I hear ya....I'm on the verge of changing jobs which would mean relocating and I'm putting the move off long enough to finish my project...THIS time. I can't imagine leaving it behind to sit in a garage waiting for me to have the time.

White? Man, you couldn't touch a thing. Kind of reminds me of that quote "your dad could sell a ketchup popsickle to a woman wearing white gloves..."

  13. 700x18 tires. nothing like having to s****e up the money to change the rear brakes, and wheel studs, simply because ya cant find 6 700x18 tires that aren't $240 a piece to replace the rotted to hell tires..

I think I suffer from adult ADD. Too many things going then I get frustrated then I'll force myself to work on something, but then money is never there, let alone when I have time. Then I'll hit something that I can't figure out and walk away and the fact that I can't find the answer SLOWS ME DOWN!
That sums it up. Thank you.

  15. Mostly these little green and white things that say "Federal Reserve Note" with a picture of some dead guy on them. Otherwise I could probably have it drivable again with just a couple days' work.

I just spent a couple days trying to put a rear view mirror on a '32 roadster. Of course, the Vintique parts made for a '32 don't actually fit or look nice. So I had get a different mirror from a '40s Ford and make it work.

All that that time spent on a lousy mirror!

My brain. Whenever I get to a particularly difficult task on a project, I keep putting it off because I'm afraid I might not be able to do it right. Surprisingly, when I finally get to the point where I feel I can to ahead, the task usually proceeds pretty well. Maybe it's for the best. I have found over the years that trying to force something to happen usually end up badly.

Delays on special order/custom items - I placed an order back in July, was originally told 4-6 weeks, and now each time I call for a status, it's another "few weeks"... :(

    Couple things....

Fuel Filler neck on my coupe. I had to cut the original neck off to get it our of the car then I replaced the gas tank with a new repop. So after buying two $25 rubber fuel necks, then welding a piece the the bottom of the original I think I'm about ready to wrap it up. I have like a whole day in a damn fuel filler neck. What is that about?

Perch bolts......getting them out, finding a new set because the old ones were murdered in the process of getting them out. Now I am needing a machine shop to run a die over them so I can get the threads cleaned up and add a few more since it's not cinching down.

    Wiring.

I had those, the tough one was the 15x8.5 wheels for the rear. I finally found them, but not having the right wheels never stopped me from driving the car, I put over 50k miles on it with ugly wheels
