Lifting him up to the Lord in prayer. May God give his family strength and understanding during this tough time.
Rick is the most genuine person I have ever had the privilege to know. A couple years back a pipe in our basement froze and broke. Not knowing what to do, I called Rick as I knew he was a plummer. Without hesitation, Rick headed right over and saved the day by replacing the broken pipe. Prior to that phone call I had only met Rick one time at our local weekly HAMB breakfast. For his services, Rick would accept no payment only asking me to return the favor. Looking back I am truly greatful that the pipe froze because had it not I would have never had the opportunity to know a person I consider a true friend and a fellow Hank III fan. Rick, can't wait to see you on the other side; forever your friend, Shaun.
Over the years I've lost many friends, too many in NAM but I learned many years ago that their last resting place is in the HEARTS THAT LOVED AND KNEW them. RIP
Chris, Thanks for letting the HAMB know about this. I am sorry I haven't met Rick but I know we would have been good friends. Wish Rick and his family a peaceful passing and good memories of Rick's life. Dave
The big C doesn't discriminate. Awful sad to see so many passing with this disease. Prayers to his family in this difficult time.
Don't know this man at all, but just something about the face and the smile in the photo tells me he's a genuine human being, someone I'd have no problem liking if I met him! Go with grace pal, & keep the light on, we'll all be along eventually!
Caller ID pic of Ricky on my phone. Every assessment so far is right on - the biggest hearted, goofiest, most positive, honest, open, real and fun person a guy could ever hope to meet. The genuine article, irreplaceable.
Godspeed Rick, very to sorry to hear this news Chris, I have a brother with the big C, working on keeping him here for as long as he can be here.
The passing of anyone is reason for grief but one so young leaves us with the unanswered question...... WHY? Our only recourse is that the Lord knows best and leaves us with a comfort to face the future without them. My condolences to his family and friends. Frank
Good bye buddy. Knowing you are no longer in pain makes this a little easier, but you will really be missed, and never replaced. See you later...
I never knew him but the testimony from friends on this thread tell me we lost a good one. I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to Rick's friends and family. May he rest in peace.
One thing to remember is that you got enough warning to let him know how he affected your life. He knew without a doubt that people cherished his time on this earth.
Amen, Tommy. Too many times we lose a relative or friend that you don't get that chance. Sorry for you lose to everyone that knew him.
Every thing his friends have said about him is so true.... Me, I'll miss some of the talks we had about some crazy off the wall stuff. God speed Brother, Ride on.
