Hi, I've been poking about this forum for sometime now and since I finally picked up my first project car I thought I'd jump in the deep end! I bought a 1950 Ford Single Spinner of eBay just the other day. Sight unseen I might add! Aarrgh!! It has a running 293 Flathead V8 which was the main selling point for me! Like everyone, I have big plans for the bus! Its a left hand drive import from Hawaii and been sitting in a coastal town called Yallingup in Western Australia for a few years now until I bought it! Any other Aussies with a shoebox out there?
Hey blue ! congrats on the sheubaux mordor ! i have ? seen this car for sale a few years back...was this for sale in adelaide by any chance ? might be mistaking it for another tho.....good luck with the project mate keep at it. shoeboxford.com will be ya best freind if ya get stuck ! keep us posted on ya progress..! James
also...just to add...mine was also "sight unseen" from the town YORK in WA....let me tell you i was in for a surprise when it rocked up in SA...i nearly had a heart attack
HAHA, I suspect a fair bit of rust but the owner says its not too bad. He had a bit of work done to it in Hawaii. That yellow colour was put on just to seal it. I still haven't seen it yet and I probably wont for another couple of weeks until I head down. I live in Karratha a 2 hr flight north of perth. So its trek and a half to see it. The car has been in Yallingup since it arrived in australia i'm lead to believe. Brendan
