So this may qualify for the dumbest post today... I have struck a deal on a car in the cl***ifeds. It is an even trade, car for car. I also agreed to travel to complete the trade. Being it is a 1300 mile round trip, I am looking for the most economical option to transport these cars back and forth. I have a trailer, and have a truck offered to me. The truck only gets 8-9mpg, without a trailer.... So any ideas? Just trying to not spend $600 or $700 in gas.
Maybe you could get someone on the Starship Enterprise to p*** them through their particle transporter. No ! Well it was just a suggestion !
Well there really is no other option besides shipping and with two cars Its gonna be way more than $700. I would try to get a differant truck that gets alittle better gas mileage.
Gee, Either you pay your own costs or you pay for someone else's cost to transport it for you. What vehicle will you be using to tow the trailer and what gas milage will youget towing the loaded trailer? Is it cheaper than using the truck?
Steve, Can you get the other party to meet you halfway somewhere? That is about the only way I see that you will get by any cheaper.
find a buddy with a diesel truck? It would be a hell of a lot more fun to drive the cars....but you didn't say what condition there in.....
