Im wondering if anyone has ever seen a 1938 chrysler royal 3 window coupe i stumbled into this car and i was thinking of making an offer on it. I have not been able to find anything out about a 3 window all i have found are 5 window coupes. Im thinking maybe its a rare model. Any help would be kool. Im new on this board and i will apreciate it thanks Mario B.

  2. None of those coupes are particularly common, but you might want to post a picture and some ID data - I can't find anything concrete on the 3-window coupes until the 1941 body change, but one pic in this book shows a '39 Dodge that looks like a 3-window - or it's a bad black and white picture.

I am currently building a 1946 Chrysler Businessman's coupe and all I can tell you as far as info and such is good luck. Sheet metal parts are scarce and VERY expensive. I have yet to find any resource material specifically for 3 window coupes. Rad cars though. Send me a p.m. if you'ld like. I'd be more than happy to help anyway I can.

Plus I am right down the road.

  7. Best way to get sheetmetal for one is buy a 4-door. They're common and not particularly desirable. You'll have to make stuff unique to the coupe shell but the floors, cowl and nose would be the same.

    A little shy of 7000 '41 Royals produced -

Sedan cowl, firewall, and floor graft is the route I took. Heaven help you if you need a deck lid or quater.

  10. Pics of the car? 'Closest I've ever seen is a '47 Highlander Coupe.
