Well, heres the story. My nieghbor down the street comes by. he asks to borrow my car trailor to clean out some junk in this old mans barn. Reluctantly I say yes. He does the job and brings back my trailor with a 1927 ford roadster body, and a 40 ford frontend on it. He says he knows I like this stuff and wants to give it to me for letting him use the trailor. Needless to say I am more than a little stoked. Jim
WOW, hey can I borrow your trailer?? I'll clean it out for you?? please??? awe.......ps, I'm not a nice guy, buahahahaha
The only thing left on anything that I loan to someone is dirt and maybe a few scratches! I guess it pays sometimes not to be an ***hole, excellent score. Got pics?
dammit now my chin hurts, the floor is hard ya know! but seriously, congrats man, you've got cooler neighbors then me!!! rjb
You get what you deserve. Sometimes right away. Sometimes down the road a bit. And sometimes at the end of the road.
Wow. A good deed done one better. I could tell without looking at your info that you don't live in California...
HEY DAMMIT - That was on my vacation property that I was having shipped back here. I'ld like your neigbors name so I can contact the cops about it. If you just put it back before next weekend, because I've got the hauler picking it up to bring here. I'm SERIOUS.......................................................................................................about this and....... jelous as hell and it's just a joke and........... Good for you guy. Have fun Building it. Cob
I though I got lucky when the ol dude down the street asked me to help him clean out his loft and he gave me a 650 holley on a windsor manifold. Thats grouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the story. With all the *****in going on around here, it's nice to about nice guys both you and your neighbor.
When people ask to borrow my car trailer I tell them to leave their wife for a deposit. So far no-one has taken me up on it ,wonder why?
Great story. Being a nice guy is a karma thing, and it comes back around. While not as sweet as a T roadster body, my neighbor was cleaning out his garage and gave me a roller cabinet and a hydraulic press.
I love to hear this type of story. too much bull **** and prob.s in the world, its nice to hear some good going around.
great story i wonder how he knew you was into that stuff, you have a yard full of cars?I definately put him on the be sure to loan stuff to list, nice score.
I hear you on the loaning the trailer out thing... mine usually comes back with torn straps, dented fenders, flat tires and a bent trailer jack! But I still loan it out... Sam.
This story is a great example of people doing the right thing. You both benefitted, no losers! Great job. But I'm telling you in advance, if I borrow your trailer, it's NOT coming back with hot rod parts on it.
NO ****! my trailer never comes back the same, taillights broke, fenders dented, one dude did put a new jack on it though. floor gouged, fenders scratched, etc.......... never borrowed it out & got a prize like you did!!! cOnGrAtUlAtIoNs!
That's where its at. I figured it was going to be a story of woe. Good to know that there are some good folks in the world.
Be careful, it could be a set up... Who know's what he'll want to borrow next?? Seriously though, it's nice to hear cool stories like that. Congratulations.
