I think a good deal of us remember the post a few weeks ago about how much money do you have. Rural, not meaning to sound like "That Guy", but your coming off as an ass with money to burn. One step above AssMonkeyGarage. I'm glad you got what you wanted, apparently you were going to get 'em no matter the price, throwing around close to $50g's this past week. But thats the thing, I'm glad you got what you wanted, but please, no one enjoys a gloater rubbing it (money/cars) in the rest of our faces.

Congrats treat those two cars well!

bite me pal, you couldn't be farther from the truth. AND, wasting my time explaining it all to you is not worth it. funny how many pm's i got this week that were excited for me and said to keep in touch. my choice of words might not have been great but i'm just excited; and if you had a clue what kind of guy i really was you'd think differently, maybe.

Congrats, I have to say, I'm envious. I love the Tardel built car. Don't think I would have paid so much for either of them even if I had the money, but WTF do I know. They are both classics that I don't think will ever be "uncool". I have to say I think "the truck" is Fuckin perfect, and I'm glad both of them went to somebody that will truely appreciate them(I hope). Good luck.

  13. The 35 was in the #3 issue of CKD, article entitled “No Bags”, originally built by Rudy Rodriguez.

Body chopped and channelled 7/7, 35 cab, no mention on the frame and a 48 flathead hooked up to a C4 with a 1874 five-shot pistol as the shifter.

Good shots of the original artwork. I don’t have a scanner, so no pics.

    Nice ride though.

  14. A little too late for input ,on your purchasing the truck- but here is my assessment......

    Its a RAT-
    its cool looking-
its bound to be less comfortable than a Lexus-
it wouldn't have got a minutes publicity ,if it had been built in the midwest-
Thats too much money for it-
But other than those observations, its a great investment ,Im sure-:D ENJOY-GOOD LUCK!

Congrats on scoring two very fine hot rods. PM Skip (Lukejivetalker) on here, he has extensive pics of the truck build. He also may be able to put you in touch with Rudy R. It would be awsome to see him get the job of returning the hookers to the truck. Enjoy those rods, thats what it's all about!

  16. I'm gonna' stay tuned to this channel.

I wanta' see ya' hack up and disrespect the A Sedan like JJ and the rest of those folks did on that reality TV show.

I hope this isn't what you're going to surprise us with?

Also, if ya' have the $dough$ spend it and have a good time.:) You could be hit by a truck tomorrow.:(

Don't let anyone make you feel guilty about what you're buyin', how much ya' paid for it or what you already have. Screw them and the road to no place that they're on.

When ya' can afford it, buy good quality stuff. Like I was told one time by a car investor. There'll always be someone to pay top dollar for quality stuff, but normally ya' have to pay someone to haul off the junk.;)

Just curious what kind of shop it's going to be shop truck for.

  20. Glad to hear that. That sedan us beautiful. IT sits perfect and I love the Black wires.

I'm building a 32 2 door sedan along the same lines, but witha 283 chev mated to a 39 toploader with the stock 32 rear. 16 in wires and big and little firestones. IT will be for sale too ;)

Sounds like you are in the process of putting togeather a hot rod shop to me.

ANd the shop truck couldn't me much cooler. I'm looking forward to what you'll be showing us.

    Good luck.

29sedanman's father in law owned the truck at one time, there is NOTHING wrong with this truck, left leg is a little cramped in it but not bad. no harder to see out of than my model A roadster when the top is on. I drove it too and wish I would have had the money to buy it. Oh and here is a pic of the first two owners again for you all.

If I had the money to buy both of those I wouldn't be opening any rod shop. I'd be out on the road putting some miles on them. Who wants to be faced with irate customers, deadlines, long hours, big overhead, underappreciation? Screw that, where did Mapquest say that exit to Disneyworld was? :D Isn't that where everyone goes after the "big game"?
