Hey guys, the big fall swap meet at the Expo center in Louisville KY is coming up next month, October 22nd-23rd. I need a windshield for my '55 Chevy (second series) pickup. There's always a guy there selling cl***ic auto gl*** and windshields. If I could get ahold of him I could pick it up and save myself a boatload of cash on shipping. Trouble is I've got CRS disease (can't remember ****) and don't recall his name. Anybody know who I mean? Thanks!
Be careful and inspect the gl*** before buying. I purchased a new windshield for my 57 truck at the Pomona swap meet (back in the late 1990's) from a gl*** dealer. When I went to install it the gl*** was wavy around the edges, it is hard to see but definitely a second or blem that could not be sold otherwise. Of course the seller looked professional and had a large truck and had windshields for almost every make and model of car. I thought I got a good deal but looking back, not so much of a deal. I installed the window and the defect is hardly noticeable.
You are probably thinking of Auto City Cl***ic out of Minnesota. They have a big white truck and a large display of gl***,disc brake conversions,etc. Google is your friend.
^ I have bought gl*** from them a couple of times at the spring swap meet in Louisville. They have great gl*** and are good guys. I remember asking them once if they were from Chicago because of their accents and they were not amused!
