Hey guys just a little info about Chopit's car.The entire body is handmade .It has 54 crown vic upper firewall and door frames, everything else built from scratch.I was lucky enough to help out with some of the mechanical stuff on the car.I felt privlaged just to work on that thing a little bit.I have never been around or worked on anything like that before. The more you look at it the more it will amaze you.You guy's going to PASO will get to see it up close cause thats where it's going next. The best thing about helping Gary finish that car was working with his 15year old son NICHOLAS this kid is amazing he did 90% of the wiring on this car along with a thousand other thing's.That car wouldnt have been finished in time without him.I will try to post some photos from the final build of it in a day or so.GREGG

That's where the VIN # is isn't it?
    ***le "legalities"...
That makes it an "Old Ford" instead of "New Construction"!!!

I wouldn't have done the Baroque curlies on the sides but everything else is ***'s!
The full skirts solves the, "Shall I stick with trad wheels and tires or put bling wheels on it?" question.
And now I don't have to wonder what my Elky would look like with full skirts front and rear, which I was considering, OK on that one, but not for my truck's look I don't think.
The grill things on the rear bumper bullets are Buck Rogers cool!
That's one big hunk of Plexigla$$!

I love that kind of stuff. I have nothing bad to say about it. I wish there were more futuristic concept type cars being built but given the amount of work in a car like that, it's easy to see why they aren't.

I can't begin to imagine how many hours went into the construction. It sure is a throwback to the old showcar days. I like it.

Tha thing is amazing. I love it. I'm a huge fan of the front end treatment. The color is stunning. It's fins are like The Bat on enough LSD to kill a rhino. Using a '58 Caddy grille and bumper as the rear end treatment is kick*** and the 60 chrysler lights look *****in. I want it

  10. 60s style is incredible!!! I love the car. I would love to see more of his work! The car just has so many mods you get distracted fromone mod to the next. just move ment in a still photo is cunfusing me. I geuss that doesnt take much. But I love these cars.

  11. I would like to see the front wheels. It does have a.c if you look at the pictures. Would hate to be the poor ******* that had to bloock sand it.But it is very well done like it or not.

    Thanks Gregg,

Years ago when I was talking to Gary about this project, I thought that he told me it was built around a Crown Vic. I must be getting old because I couldn't remember the details. love to see all the photos that are available.

    Thanks for the info...

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

I like the front, I kinda like the rear, I don't like the profile at all.
I don' think it lends itself to being a bubbletop and I think it'd be better a roadster and clean up the side of it...

On anything this radical there's bound to be aspects of it that folks would do differently. I love it! Yes, there are things I don't care for, but nothing major. It's very cool; it's beautiful, it's amazing!

The work that went into the car is amazing and the front and the rear looks really cool.Just too busy on the sides though.May somebody please photoshop a tall whitewall tire with a simple hubcap in there and I think we'll have a winner...

Uh... in a word...no. If you put a suit on a monkey, you still have a monkey in a suit. It looks like something Hollywood would build for a "B" movie. Kinda like that corvette in the movie with Mark Hamill in '82 called "Corvette Summer". Sorry, just my 2 cents.

JimmyB you cant really think your varsion look's better . Believe it or not those wave thing's really help make the carJMO. The car does have cool sixties wheel's chrome reverse and wide white's.I have seen the car without skirt's and it still look's good but trust me on this, the skirt's make it!!!!!!!This is not really my style of car but I love it.This car must be seen in person to be believed.I worked on it almost every day for three week's,and i think i found another detail every day.Talked to Gary today and car might not be at PASO after all.(time constraint's)oh well.GREGG:)

  22. It's kinda all wrong but that's what makes it so 60's and SO good.

    =]

    I lubs it.

  23. I didn't say it looked better. I did the photoshop thing to show how it looked without the waves, the photoshopped front does look too barren to tell you the truth. (just that reverse wave is what I dislike, but like the saying goes 'opinions are like ****holes everyone has one' :D ) & obvious the owner is happy so that is all that really matters in the end. :)

I do think it looks like one of those cars from the 50s futuristic illustrations.

I love bibble tops and this one is great. It's a radical custom show car. I wouldn't expect to see it on the street. I wouldn't have enclosed the front wheels, but it works well on this one.

The ends are perfect and the bubbletop is cool but the skirts with the curlicues make me wanna go surfing. The front skirts look like an afterthought. They don't flow with anything at that end of the car..
