Event Coverage Clutch Poppers Crash the Alberta HAMB Meet

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jalopy Kid, Sep 26, 2011.

  1. On Sept 24 was the Alberta HAMB meet in Red Deer Alberta. Red Deer is about an hour and half south of Edmonton. Each city participating had their own meeting places, and then convoyed to Red Deer to meet at the Queens Diner for lunch.
The Edmonton group met at the Nisku Flying J at 9:30AM.

    Here are our pictures!

I met Dave at his place at 8:30 AM and we cruised out to Nisku to meet up with the rest of the Edmonton cars.

The waitress felt bad for Dave and his shirt, so they went back to the shed. When Dave came out he was wearing a different shirt

Looks like a good turnout. Maybe next year I will have my truck done so I can attend rather than spending the day working on it.

I've had visions of doing one like it since I was 16 and saw it in my dads shop for paint, and that was damn near 7 years ago. Time flies when you're broke I guess

Be sure you dont have any sharp objects that Fred could snag his boiler on, he'd fly around the room like a balloon that had the air let out of it. BTW, Daves new shirt rules.

Looks like alot of fun was had by all. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day either. Maybe next year the '52 and I will make it out. Maybe I can persuade Jerry to bring his deuce instead of his orange ot pickup and his dad to bring his model a instead of his identical orange ot pickup next year. maybe......
