been workin on this flame job for a friend of mine. i had a local striper outline the flames cause Kritz was in Florida. problem was this guy had never done a flying eyeball or anything of that sort (even though he has been stripin for 20 years and is very good at it) so i had to wait for Kritz to get back and be able to run over here (an hour away) and get it done. now (in a couple days) i can lay on the final coats of clear over the striping. i'm very tired so i'll let the pics do most of the talking. i gotta give Kritz a HUGE thanks for comin over on such short notice and gettin this job done. your a true friend. it looks AWESOME! i had him do the flying eyeball, some stripes on the roof and he "jazzed up" the iron cross i drew (and had the other guy paint). can't wait to get the clear on now and see it all shiny. thanks Chris...
i just returned from the brimm compound...i was a little nervous when i rolled up and they were all wearing silver space-suits and nikes, but all the old cars and parts distracted me from the "cultish" atmosphere.....haha. mike laid some REALLY nice flames out on this truck, (there should hopefully be pics coming once the clear is laid out.) and the guy who outlined them really couldn't have done a nicer job. i'm just happy i got to play with the one shot!! the neighbors didn't complain at all when i was there.....they mus be scared of people from flint!
Looks AWESOME Chris!!! The 3rd color on the tailgate, really made a difference Great Job! It was nice seeing you again too Kris
Did you remember to give Kritz the framed pics from ****o to stripe? Flame job looks great. I can get a closer look later today when I come out.
Mike, Steve Fisher does the eye, the blue one anyway, dont know about the brown one. Did you see the one he did for Higel on his caddy? Looks good.
oh yah, it was great to watch kritz put lines down! and i got to meet another hamber. great job! chris
it's been a while since i saw Jeff's Caddy. i talked to Steve about painting this one but i could'nt get him to come down here. in the morning we're clearing this thing. can't wait.
Man, that really looks good. Just don't fug up the 1-shot by laying clear on too heavy (at least at first)! Great job Mikey, Kritz and whoever did the stripin'...
got her all cleared today. sprayed a couple dry coats over the new stripes and let it dry up real good between coats. then layed it on wet just like you'd normaly do. looked real good when i left the shop. i'd left it out in the sun saturday so it would harden up quicker. oh yeah, Kritz added hardner to the one shot, that helped i'm sure. here are a couple shiny pics of the new stripes...
looks damn good with all the clear finished up....so when you gonna post some pics of the WHOLE truck...sure, it's not traditional, but it's one helluva flame job!...nice work buddy
i just stopped and looked at it. it is SOOOO shiny!! a little dirt but nothin that won't buff out easy. i'm going to pick it up and deliver it in about an hour and a half. i'll get a cople pics of it outside and post em tonight. hey, it's a traditional paint job and thats what i'm showin off.
