Hey all !! I am getting ready to lower my 1953 Plymouth cranbrook and wanted some advice on what size I should use on the rear end lowering blocks. I am going to be putting on skirts and love not seeing the back wheels when it is lowered!! What size should I go to get this thing on the ground?? 3", 4", or 5"? If anyone has pics let me see em!! Thanks guys!

Butch's Cool Stuff has the lowering blocks you'll need for your plymouth.

Measure from the bottom of the current U bolts to the bottom of the wheel rim. This is how far you can go without putting the ends of the bolts and springs below the scrub line. Lower than that, WHEN your bias ply tires go flat the ends of the bolts/springs will be digging up pavement. WHEN that happens I hope I'm on a different piece of road.

    It's probably 3" at most...

  8. This is my 54 Plymouth. 3.5 inch tapered block and relocated the front of the spring. Hope this helps.

You could say Dayton Ohio, but to be exact, our showroom is in Tipp City which is about 8 miles north of Dayton! Come up for a visit sometime. But call first, so i will for sure be there!

  10. Let me know if you need more.

Oh the tape is to simulate where a skirt would go to.
