TRJ28 = Cole Foster = RULER!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Brootal, May 20, 2005.

  1. I know you guys hate how we get The Rodder's Journal first, but I've just finished reading Pat Ganahl's story on Cole. Pat admits it only tells part of the story, and promises we'll get the rest next issue, but man he's one clever *******.

The cars featured (and so beautifully photographed) are stunning in their simplicity and perfect examples of the "Less is More" theory.

Love your work Cole, and PG and Steve ****an and everyone at TRJ.

    Keep 'em coming.

I can hardly bring myself to consider TRJ a magazine. It's so far above and beyond I almost consider it a book series that comes out 4 times a year.

  5. I agree Frank! But Boris man, throw us a bone here.........Scan a pic maybe?????;) All I have to drool over is the 54 on my subscription renewall card!

  6. Awright... Awright... but if the TRJ people come after me I'm sending them around to your place!!!

  7. trj too pricy for me. but then again i am a cheap *** or try to be:rolleyes:

  8. Worth every penny. Try cutting back on the PBR and you should have enough coin to buy it. You've got at least three months each issue to save up. Especially since it's only $12.95.

By the time it gets to me it's nearly FORTY BUCKS!!!

Where do you get yours Brootal? Mine are only $30 delivered (about $20 US) from ASR.

It would be cheaper to subscribe - like I used to - but they don't have their **** together from my experience (and others), issues always used to be at least 2 months late. Too much heartache for a book that expensive. At least through ASR I know I'm gonna get it.

Well, I got the little card in the mail but no book yet. When I saw Coles '54 was featured, I've been waiting for the courier since. One of my top 10 customs.
Yeah, I've stopped buying newstand magazines and spend all my pocket money on the Journal and Hop Up, nothing else compares!!

I agree Nads, if I could get it here at 12.50 I would be all over it, might need to shell out on this one...... just what I need to start another pile.

  13. I get mine through ASR (Graffiti Publications) also. Total cost = $38.50

$30 for the book and $8.50 for 'freight and packaging'.

Mine get delivered to my door in a sturdy cardboard wrapper. I used to get them straight from the TRJ, but a couple got a bit beaten up, so I decided to go through Graffiti. Haven't had a problem since.

  14. Boris: If you're a member of the Graffiti Club, don't you get free postage?

Maybe I should start doing TRJ too.....

  15. Boris,

I get mine from Wheels of Time in Dandenong, they do mail order but not sure what they charge. I get a phone call to say its in. Best bit is I walk 200 metres and I'm there (just round the corner from work), $30 and I'm happy.
Get a choice of covers and to actually look through it while they get my copy :D. Chopper also sells them, but I think he gets them from Larry first, funny thing was for a while there they were cheaper than Larry, go figure?

  16. hey crew,

might be hexy but you cant put a price on happiness! man $30 is just half a tank of fuel these days!

    danny

  17. Whatchotalkinbout.... $30 fills an A model Tank and then some!!!!

But you're right Dan you can't put a price on hapiness,The Rodders Journal would have to be one of the best Books/Magazines around.

  18. hey man,

your right, $30 will fill that cowl mounted tank just fine. maybe i should have put is this way, you could buy 30 issues for the price of my new set of meats! damn bias plys are expensive!!

    danny

  19. But they look so right on a fenderless roadster :D
