I think magizine spanks on CK deluxe. They all ready have Viva Las Vegas pictures. It would have took a year in the outher mag. Way better quality all around, the feature cars and the photography so much better. The coverage on the 999 modifed was great to.Plus the centerfold poster is good to. Keep it up! Scott
I'm looking to subscribe to a new magazine, and have not seen this one yet. Primarily because of the word "Kulture" in the ***le. I guess I shouldn't judge the book by the cover, but I'm not into the culture thing, just show me the ****in cars, tell me a story, and teach me **** I don't know. Now if the ***le was Traditional Rod and Kustoms, I'd definetly seek that one out. Not trying to bag on a HAMBer, I wish him success. Just trying to see if the magazine fits my needs. So, is the ***le true to it's content?
thanks guys, i saw it printed for the first time today at the jalopy showdown. rod and i flew in yesterday for the show. i took a few hot laps in the 999, drove back to phily and caught a plane back to l.a. its been a long damn day! i'm still pick'n mud off my face. big thanks to spike, scary larry, evil, and clark. we really want this to just keep getting better. there is still plenty of room for improvement, but we've made some changes since the previous issue, and we're pretty happy with it. this issue is full color, heavier stock, and is on the street a week ahead of scheduel. as far as the kulture part of the name, we run pin-ups, hotrod artist, and 2 pages of music. we're ok with that "kulture". as far as traditional rod and kustom, obviously that's just way too close to rod and custom.
I gave it a quick look the other night and it is even better than issue #1. I know I will be pleased after reading it.
Just got mine also. The plain brown wrapper and no return addy faked me out. I thought I was getting a legal notice! Mag is great and I like the protection from our underpaid postal workers. Keep up the good work, I think your on the right track.-MIKE
Do you guys have a distributor in Austin,TX? It pisses me off that I can't find any good magazines in this f@ckin' town
Ditto for me. I don't know what's up around here (Austin), if I wanted to outfit my family in hemp clothing I can, but find something decent to read....I'm in the midst of the wrong "kulture" sorry...the angryman part of me has been peeking out lately.
the closest spot we have to austin is tower records in dallas right now. we are currently talking with a large distributor, but thats quite an ordeal so i dont think we'll jump into that tommorrow, but we will be in the near future. you can always order it via phone or web though: www.rodandkulture.com
It was good talking to you at Viva and Tiny as well. I just got mine in the mail and its way *****en. I think this is the best of all the "rat rod ,kulture" mags out there. I am so glad I got my subscribtion at viva. Tiny needs to call me about doing the photo shoot. Keep up the great work. If you HAMBer's do not have this mag you need this one more than any other of the mags out there. Remember that Zombie started this thing and needs all of our support.
I got my copy the other day. I was pleased, good variety of cars and articles. I don't need the music reviews and the tatooed girls, but I understand there are people out there into the "kulture". I particularly enjoyed the Von Dutch story, and am looking forward to seeing his bikes at the Primer Nats.
I go to the Tower Records here in Dallas pretty often, and I haven't seen it in there yet. The second issue is the one just coming out right? I'll have to go check later this week to see if it's there. I know for sure I never saw #1 there.
B*** they had #1 there I'd say maybe 5 days ago I picked it up. They also carry customs illustrated, and rolls and pleats which I got the last one.
......................got mine at the show and it IS a big improvement! Zombie, sorry you didn't get to meet me. It would have made your whole trip worthwhile. I'm sure that you had fun any way? I was working the gate and watching Clark trying to find every available mud puddle on the track. I'm SURE you had a blast? Thanks for making it out and thanks for all of your efforts to keep the magazine alive.......
B***, I picked the first issue up at Tower last week along with Dice ,Rolls and Pleats and Barracuda! Tower is the only place Ive been able to find this stuff except for Ol Skool Rodz and its usually at Borders. E
Just got mine and it looks great...what an improvement. Kent Bash can make your head spin with his writing style. I really like the magazine and it is way better than the "old" magazine. Keep up the great work...
yeah, it would have been great to hook up. there were several guys i wanted to meet while i was out there, but we were on a tight scheduel. we got stuck in traffic on our way back to the airport and barely made it. we did have a blast, and definitely want to come back next year. anyhow, glad to hear you dug the new issue. we have some great stuff lined up for #3.
I stopped by my local Tower recs(torrance, ca) last night-they just got issue #1! which I guess means I'll get #2 when # 3 comes out! The mag rules, btw!
tower ordered a whole **** load of issue 2. they were shipped out last week, so i would immagine they should be on the shelf any day.
