Today I cruised around the Badlands took the camera along. Stopped by a few ghost towns of Conata and Emaly SD. Cruised over to the other side of the Badlands and up Sheep Mt. near Scenic SD.

Thanks yes there is still some olde tin lying about, but more horses I'm afraid.I'm always looking for little bits of an antiquity. I love open range and the big Badlands never really been nowhere else.

Scenic has always been a crazy little joint from ******* ******** riding, murders, broad daylight robberies, baboons, bushwack's,serenading transients and of course the horses. When the bar is closed it's a pretty mellow town.

FastFrankie, radiusing the wheel well's was a bit hard for me too, but my quaters were beat from past accidents on both sides. However I dont think I will go ever go back, a fellow HAMB'er summed up cut wheel wells on a 55 as a "badge of courage". [IMG]

  14. Hell Jesse! I was shakin the Touring down Sunday! I wish you would have let me know, I would have grabbed a chase car (my 54) and headed east with the Touring. I need a badge of courage to get my feet wet witht the touring.

I forgot to tell you about the deal at the Knuckle Sallon in Sturgis, June 17 or 18, I will get details, a neat little show. Paul Galaxy and the Galactics are playing.

  15. Damn I need to road trip it to SD sometime! That 55 is too cool....

Damn I didnt know........I wanted breeze through into Rapid too but I wasnt carryin much bread, I should have since I was so close........you know......I wandered into Sheep Mountain thinkin I was gonna shoot some pics of the BIG Badlands and there WAS no place to turn around on that road so I had to go all the way to top. There was a couple 4x4's up there.......them folks were looking at me like I was nuts. You can Mt.Rushmore and Cedar P*** from up there.

June 17? let me know, so far this weekend I went to Wasta,Wall,Phillip and Kadoka again without no problems.......so I'm sure Strugis could be in the works...plus my gas mileage aint that bad either. Is there a crusiser night in Rapid coming up to or something?

  17. Jesse, Cruise night in Rapid it June 10, I live on 8th Street, front row center! We BBQ out front of my house for the parade gayness, have a beer then go out after the paint polishers go home.
