I have a 66 F100 with a 352 and 2 barrel carb and wondering if it will bolt up to a 1959 Ford Tbird with a 352 that is running a 4 barrel. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
It will not bolt up without an adapter or it shouldn't. Why would you want to replace a 4 bbl with a 2bbl anyway? Just curious.
You can swap the carb and manifold, or get an adapter and put the 2bbl on the 4bbl intake. Then when you get tired of the 2bbl you can easily switch back! Or were you planning to put the 4bbl on the Slick? If so, it all fits, either way.
A little more complete explanation on exactly what you are trying or wanting to do might be helpful here. Are you trying to put the truck motor in the T bird, trying to put the truck intake on the T bird motor, trying to put the four barrel intake on the truck motor? Or?????????????????
this is a hot rod forum, anything is possible. Thats what hotrodding is all about. But than ask yourself why???
thanks guys, apologies for the lack of explanation. Here's the deal. I have a friend who is using his 59 Tbird in my daughters wedding this Saturday but his carb is having issues. We are trying to figure out the best plan of attack before Saturday and I have a '66 F100 with the 2 barrel that works fine. His Tbird has the 4 barrel and it sounds like it might work but we would need the adapter for the manifold for it to fit or switch out the manifolds. I think the easiest thing to do is to quickly rebuild the Tbirds carb before Saturday.
That's what I was thinking, just rebuild the one on the 'bird. I could rebuild most carbs in a couple hours if I'm being really meticulous and nothing is physically broken. Good luck!!
