I switched out the big ugly plastic aftermarket turn signal that was on my column for a repop from Sac Vintage Ford.

The only difference between the previous and the one I just installed is the previous had hazards.

All functions are working properly with the new switch EXCEPT that when I use the left hand turn both rear lights flash (like a hazard).

Additionally the left rear bulb is considerably dimmer when the brakes are applied.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Sounds like you may have connected the left turn wire from the switch to the tail light wire. When you turn on the park lights or head lights, is the left light brighter than the right?
